Glasgow Cosmic Reveals Exciting Team for ETPL

Glasgow Cosmic has officially announced an impressive lineup for the first season of the European T20 Premier League (ETPL), featuring a mix of top international cricketers and prominent Scottish players. According to a recent press release, the team includes well-known athletes such as Finn Allen, Liam Livingstone, Josh Philippe, Moises Henriques, Kamindu Mendis, Keshav Maharaj, Lungi Ngidi, Gerhard Erasmus, Duan Jansen, Ali Khan, along with Scotland's captain Richie Berrington and cricket sensation George Munsey.


The franchise is owned by Vipul Agrawal, Chairman of Mugafi Group, and Tansha Batra, with Rashid Khan as the CEO of Mugafi Group. Glasgow Cosmic is set to enter the tournament with a robust combination of international expertise and local talent. The presence of Richie Berrington and George Munsey underscores the franchise's dedication to promoting Scottish cricket as it gears up for the inaugural ETPL season.

Overview of the European T20 Premier League

The ETPL marks Europe's first ICC-sanctioned T20 franchise league, established through a collaboration between Cricket Ireland and Rules Global (Rules X). The league is co-founded and co-owned by notable figures including Abhishek Bachchan, Saurav Banerjee (former Co-CEO of a major media house and Partner at Kalaari Capital), Priyanka Kaul (former CEO of Forbes), and Dhiraj Malhotra (former CEO of Delhi Capitals and ex-GM of BCCI), who are all partners at Rules Global.


The inaugural season of the ETPL is scheduled to run from August 26 to September 20, 2026, featuring six franchises from Glasgow, Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Dublin, Belfast, and Rotterdam, competing in a total of 33 matches.
