Suryakumar Yadav and Haris Rauf Fined for Misconduct in Cricket

The ICC has taken disciplinary action against Indian cricketer Suryakumar Yadav and Pakistani bowler Haris Rauf, imposing a 30% fine on their match fees for actions deemed disrespectful to the sport. Rauf faces further consequences with a two-match suspension for accumulating suspension points. Yadav's dedication of India's Asia Cup victory to the armed forces contrasts sharply with Rauf's provocative gestures towards Indian players and fans. This incident underscores the ongoing need for sportsmanship in cricket.

ICC Takes Action Against Players

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has decided to impose a fine of 30% on the match fees of Suryakumar Yadav from India and Haris Rauf from Pakistan due to their actions that brought disrepute to the game.

In addition to the fine, Rauf has been suspended for two One Day Internationals against South Africa after receiving two suspension points.

Yadav had previously dedicated India's victory over Pakistan in the Asia Cup to the armed forces, honoring their courage during Operation Sindoor in response to the Pahalgam terror attack.

On the other hand, Rauf had been seen mocking Indian players and fans by making gestures related to a 'plane shot down'.
