After the team's 58-run loss in the second Test, Sarfaraz criticized the players for prioritizing personal achievements over team success. Sources revealed that he emphasized the need for players to focus on collective goals rather than individual statistics, particularly addressing the batters.

In the four innings of the series, only Azan Awais, a young debutant, managed to surpass the 200-run mark. Sarfaraz pointed out that while individual performances are commendable, they should ultimately contribute to the team's success. He lamented the lack of accountability among senior players, contrasting their performance with that of other teams that are progressing.

Sarfaraz Khan's Views on Captaincy

Reports indicate that Sarfaraz was particularly critical of captain Shan Masood's leadership style, noting his reluctance to accept constructive criticism that could have benefited the team. In a notable incident, Mushfiaur Rahim and Litton Das's dismissals were not reviewed by the Pakistani team. Despite being dismissed for 52, Das played a crucial role in Bangladesh's innings, scoring 126 runs and helping the team recover from a precarious position of 116-6 to finish at 278, contributing significantly to the last four wickets.

Looking ahead, it is expected that Sarfaraz will continue as head coach during Pakistan's upcoming tour of the West Indies in July, which includes two Test matches and three in England. However, with Shan Masood's record of 12 losses in 16 Test matches, speculation suggests he may lose the captaincy, with Agha Salman being tipped as a potential successor.
