Dubai, June 9: New Zealand's Melie Kerr has reclaimed her position at the top of the T20I all-rounders rankings, surpassing West Indies captain Hayley Matthews, as announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday.
Kerr's ascent to the number one spot comes just ahead of the T20 World Cup, while Matthews has slipped to second place after missing her team's last match in the recent tri-series held in Ireland.
The competition for the top position remains fierce, with Kerr holding a slim lead of only five rating points over Matthews as both players prepare for the T20 World Cup set to begin on June 12 in England and Wales.
In the batters' rankings, Australian players Georgia Voll and Beth Mooney continue to hold the top two positions, heading into the tournament as the leading batters.
Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur has made a notable improvement, climbing back into the top 10 following her impressive unbeaten half-century in the recent series finale against England in Taunton.
England's Alice Capsey, who was named Player of the Match in the series decider with a remarkable 82 runs, has surged up 13 places to rank 30th among T20I batters.
Bangladesh's Nigar Sultana has also made strides, moving up two spots to 18th in the batters' rankings, while England's Heather Knight has climbed four places to reach 21st.
In the bowling rankings, England's Linsey Smith retains her position as the top T20I bowler, maintaining a narrow lead over Pakistan's Sadia Iqbal.
Within the top 10 bowlers, England's Lauren Bell has moved up one position to joint second, and Charlie Dean has reached fourth place, while South Africa's Nonkululek Mlaba has improved to fifth after climbing two spots.
While Kerr and Matthews lead the all-rounders' rankings, Scotland's captain Kathryn Bryce has made significant progress, rising nine places to 17th after strong performances in the recent tri-series against Bangladesh and the Netherlands.
