Gurindervir Singh Achieves Historic Sprint Record

Gurindervir Singh from Jalandhar has made headlines by breaking the national record in the 100-metre sprint, earning accolades from his employer, the Indian Navy.


In a recent announcement on X, the Navy expressed their pride, stating, "Gurindervir Singh, Petty Officer of the #IndianNavy, has made history by clocking an impressive 10.09 seconds in the 100m sprint during the 29th National Federation Cup Athletics Championships held in Ranchi."


This outstanding achievement has also secured him a spot in both the Asian Games and the Commonwealth Games 2026, as highlighted in their message.
