jaipur desk !!!An uneasy situation prevailed for the Meghalaya government when a section of police officers and constables expressed sympathy on social media for a former militant leader killed in an encounter. Curfew was imposed in Shillong on Independence Day due to violence following the death of the militant leader. An officer of the rank of Superintendent of Police said that Director General of Police (DGP) R. Following Ramachandran's stern warning, the policemen removed the objectionable posts from social media. Some even displayed black flags.
