In a concerning incident in Odisha's Kandhamal district, 41 students, primarily girls, experienced health issues due to a honey bee attack at a state-run residential school. This event unfolded on Tuesday at the Tribal Welfare Residential School located in Badabanka village, as reported by Pritiranjan Ratha, the Block Development Officer of Daringbadi.


The students were bathing on school grounds after their classes when they were unexpectedly swarmed by bees. Immediate action was taken, and the affected students were transported to the Public Health Centre (PHC) in Daringbadi, with help from the school's headmaster and the local sarpanch.


Dr. Swagat Senapaty, the physician attending to the students, confirmed that all but four girls were discharged after receiving first aid. The condition of these four girls was reported to be more serious.
