Inauguration of Advanced Research Facilities
Bhubaneswar: On Saturday, Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda is set to inaugurate the Central Research Laboratory and lay the groundwork for a Multi-utility (Gastronomy) Block at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)-Bhubaneswar, as confirmed by official sources.
The newly established Central Research Laboratory aims to enhance the research capabilities at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar, providing state-of-the-art facilities that will empower healthcare professionals, researchers, and students to innovate and conduct significant medical studies.
In addition, the Multi-utility (Gastronomy) Block is designed to meet the increasing demands of students, faculty, staff, and the general public. This modern facility will alleviate space limitations and provide various services under one roof, thereby improving operational efficiency and community interaction at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar.
Furthermore, Nadda will introduce the revamped AIIMS-Bhubaneswar website, which will feature user-friendly options and digital services. An official from the institute noted, "The EHS Clinic and AMRIT Pharmacy will also be inaugurated, enhancing access to vital health services and affordable medications." Nadda's visit will wrap up with a detailed review meeting to evaluate ongoing projects and inspect the facilities. AIIMS-Bhubaneswar Executive Director Ashutosh Biswas remarked, "Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the dynamic guidance of Nadda Ji, AIIMS-Bhubaneswar is progressing towards excellence.
