Jaipur.   The medical field mourns the loss of Dr. Mahala, a dedicated cardiologist and former head of the Cardiology Department at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College. He was instrumental in saving countless lives through his expertise. Tragically, he faced the same heart condition that he had treated in others. Last Friday, he experienced sudden chest pain and, being a seasoned physician, sought immediate medical attention. Upon reviewing his test results, he grasped the gravity of his situation and was advised by a colleague to be admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram.

Surgery at Medanta: A Race Against Time

Upon arrival at Medanta Hospital, doctors diagnosed him with aortic dissection, a critical condition where a tear forms in the aorta, the main artery of the heart. This life-threatening issue necessitated immediate surgical intervention. Although the medical team acted swiftly, his health continued to decline. On Monday, he briefly regained consciousness but soon deteriorated again. Despite being placed on ventilator support, he passed away on Tuesday.

Dr. Mahala's passing is a profound loss for the medical community. Dr. Anil Samaria, Principal of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, expressed his sorrow, stating, "Dr. Mahala significantly impacted the lives of many patients. His contributions will be remembered, as he was a beacon of hope for heart patients, yet tragically, he fell victim to the same illness.
