The training for the second batch of Census 2027 Phase I began today at the Government College in Bharmour, presided over by Tehsildar Tej Ram Bhardwaj.
This three-day initiative is designed to prepare supervisors and enumerators for the forthcoming house listing exercise. The sessions are being conducted by master trainers Dr. Rajinder Singh (Assistant Professor, History) and Vishal Ahir (Assistant Professor, Economics), who are focused on ensuring that participants are ready for precise data collection.
The current phase emphasizes house listing and housing census, which involves responding to 34 specific questions during the enumeration process. The official enumeration will take place from June 16 to July 15, 2026, while residents can opt for self-enumeration through the online portal from June 1 to June 15, 2026.
The objective of this training is to provide enumerators with the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out the census efficiently and effectively in the field.
