The Serbian football community is mourning the sudden loss of Radnicki 1923's manager, Mladen Zizovic, who tragically passed away at the age of 44 due to a heart attack during a league match on Sunday evening.
Zizovic, a Bosnian coach, collapsed on the sidelines just 22 minutes into the Mozzart Bet Super League match against Mladost in Lucani. Despite immediate medical assistance and transport to a nearby hospital, he could not be revived.
The news of his death reached the players and coaching staff later in the match, leading to an emotional scene on the field as players were seen in tears, comforting one another. The referee subsequently halted the game, which was abandoned shortly after the devastating news.

Tributes Pour In
The Serbian Football Association expressed its condolences, stating, "His untimely departure is a tremendous loss for the entire football community. Our deepest sympathies go to the Zizovic family, FK Radnicki 1923, and all who admired his work."
Partizan Belgrade also shared their sorrow, saying, "With great sadness, we learned of the passing of Radnicki’s coach Mladen Zizovic. Our heartfelt condolences go to his family, friends, and club."
Zizovic's Career and Legacy
Zizovic had recently taken the helm at Radnicki 1923, having been appointed on October 23. The match on Sunday marked only his third game in charge of the Serbian top-flight team. Before his managerial career, he had a lengthy playing career in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania, retiring in 2016 after earning two caps for the Bosnia national team.
He is survived by three children, and his commitment to the sport and Balkan football will be fondly remembered.
