Jaipur Hit and Run Incident: Death Toll Rises

In a devastating hit and run incident that occurred late Monday night in the Nahargarh area of Jaipur, the number of fatalities has tragically increased to three. Virendra Singh, a 48-year-old resident of Shastri Nagar, succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday morning. Earlier, two other victims, Avadhesh Pareek (35) from Laldas Ka Bada and Mamta Kanwar (50) from Shastri Nagar, lost their lives. Several individuals injured in this unfortunate event are currently receiving medical care at local hospitals.

Protests Erupt in Jaipur Following the Incident

The driver involved, identified as Usman Khan, operates an iron factory in the Vishwakarma area and has been taken into police custody. In response to the incident, public outrage has sparked protests at Chhoti Chaupad, prompting authorities to deploy additional police forces throughout the area to maintain order.

Condolences and Calls for Justice

Rajasthan's former Deputy Chief Minister, Sachin Pilot, expressed his sorrow over the incident via social media, stating, 'In a heart-wrenching incident that took place late night in Jaipur, an uncontrollable car crushed several people, killing three. I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and pray for their strength during this difficult time. I wish the injured a swift recovery and urge for strict action against the perpetrator to ensure justice for the victims' families.' Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also shared his condolences, praying for the peace of the departed souls and the recovery of those injured.
