TMC's Response to Internal Dissent
In response to growing concerns about internal disagreements within the Trinamool Congress (TMC), party MP Kalyan Banerjee highlighted the strength of TMC in West Bengal while criticizing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and dissenting members. Speaking at a press conference in New Delhi alongside Kirti Azad, Banerjee stated, 'You (BJP) may have the Chief Minister, ED, CBI, and other powers, but I have 'Maa, Mati, Manush', my party, my party workers, and the people of West Bengal.' Amidst reports of rebellion, Banerjee reaffirmed his loyalty to the party's ideology.

Kirti Azad sent a stern message to the TMC's rebel leaders, stating that 29 of their leaders were elected in the name of 'Maa, Mati, and Manush'. He questioned these traitors about why they only spoke of their difficulties after the elections, not before. He noted that Sukendu Shekhar Roy at least had the political ethics to resign. 'If you have any political ethics, you should also resign and contest elections on BJP tickets,' he challenged.
Azad labeled those who have grievances against Mamata Banerjee as traitors and questioned why they did not resign before the elections. He also mentioned that the number of rebels has not been made public and that the letter submitted to the Speaker has yet to be released. He stated that those wishing to join the BJP are free to do so, but they should not mention TMC. Azad further claimed that the BJP has manipulated the situation to their advantage, asserting that they did not lose the elections but intentionally defeated TMC. He predicted that the BJP would be finished in Bengal by 2029 and at the center as well.

Earlier, Azad dismissed a viral social media post claiming that a separate group of 20 TMC MPs intended to support the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). He labeled it as a fabricated list spread by the BJP. On the platform X, he emphasized that attempts to create division within the party have failed, and many MPs listed have denied signing any such document.
