Fire Breaks Out Near Altamont Pass Road


Firefighters are currently tackling a vegetation blaze close to Altamont Pass Road, situated to the northeast of Livermore, as reported by California fire officials. Initially, the fire, known as the Pass Fire, was estimated to cover an area of three to five acres. However, a subsequent evaluation by CAL FIRE’s Alma Helitack indicated that the fire has expanded to approximately 80 acres. Authorities are advising drivers in the vicinity to exercise caution and stay vigilant for emergency vehicles and firefighting apparatus operating on the surrounding roads.
