Rahul Gandhi Alleges Voter Fraud in Haryana Assembly Elections

Allegations of Vote Theft in Haryana

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi asserted on Wednesday that approximately 2.5 million fraudulent votes were used to manipulate the results of the Haryana Assembly elections held last year.

As of now, there has been no response from the Election Commission regarding his claims.

Speaking to reporters, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha stated, “What I am saying is absolutely true. An entire state's election has been stolen.” He noted that various surveys had predicted a victory for Congress in Haryana, yet the actual results were completely contrary.

Gandhi expressed, “I want to tell the Gen Z to see how your future is being stolen.” He presented a video of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, who spoke about the 'arrangements' for forming a government.

He further claimed that in Haryana, votes were stolen through five different methods, totaling 2,541,144 fraudulent votes.

In the October 2024 Haryana Assembly elections, the BJP secured 48 out of 90 seats, continuing its winning streak, while Congress managed to win 37 seats. Previously, on September 18, Rahul Gandhi had alleged that Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar was protecting those who 'murder democracy' and 'steal votes.' He urged Kumar to stop shielding such individuals. The Election Commission dismissed his allegations as baseless.
