Prime Minister Modi's Sharp Criticism of RJD and Congress

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held large election rallies in Saharsa and Katihar, where he targeted the Congress and RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) while highlighting the achievements of the NDA government in Bihar.

Modi Questions RJD's Transparency

The Prime Minister pointed out the deep internal conflicts within Congress and RJD, which he claimed were evident in their election posters. He accused the RJD of concealing its old faces, who were responsible for the era of lawlessness in Bihar.

Modi directly questioned, 'Why are the faces of those who brought lawlessness to Bihar missing from the posters? What sin are they trying to hide by concealing their father's name?'

Trust Issues Within the Grand Alliance

He mentioned the lack of trust within the Grand Alliance, stating that RJD leaders' announcements are not taken seriously by Congress. The silence of Congress regarding the RJD's manifesto serves as proof of this distrust. When asked by the media, Congress leaders often respond that 'the RJD will clarify.'

Cultural Insults and Predictions for the Future

Modi accused a prominent Congress leader of disrespecting Bihar's culture by labeling Chhath Puja as 'drama,' aiming to divert the anger of the people towards the RJD and create rifts within the Grand Alliance. He also noted that Congress leaders from outside Bihar insult the state and its people, suggesting that the party intends to use them to undermine the RJD. Modi predicted, 'After the Bihar elections, there will be a war of words between RJD and Congress.'

Advocating for a 'Double Engine' Government

Prime Minister Modi emphasized the necessity of a 'double engine' government for the continuous development of Bihar. He cited the central government's housing scheme as an example, stating that while the NDA government is providing permanent homes to the poor, the scheme remains stagnant in areas without NDA governance.

He explained that in states where the NDA is in power, housing construction is progressing rapidly. Therefore, he urged that Bihar needs the NDA's support to maintain this pace of development.
