NTA Urges JEE-Main Candidates to Hold Off on Answer Key Conclusions
Important Update for JEE-Main Aspirants
New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has advised engineering candidates to refrain from making premature judgments regarding the provisional JEE-Main answer keys until the final versions are released.
This statement follows numerous complaints about potential inaccuracies in the provisional answers for the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE)-Main.
The NTA emphasized its commitment to a transparent examination process, allowing candidates to access their recorded responses immediately after the provisional answer keys are made available. Each challenge to the provisional answer key is taken very seriously by the agency.
The process for challenging the answer key is crucial for maintaining fairness and reliability for all candidates. The NTA stated, 'The aim of the answer key challenge process is to rectify any discrepancies and ensure equity.'
It was reiterated that the answer keys for JEE Mains are provisional, and the final keys have yet to be published.
Candidates are reminded that only the final answer key will determine their scores. Therefore, making conclusions based on provisional keys is not advisable. The NTA cautioned candidates against being swayed by reports that may induce unnecessary doubt and anxiety.
The JEE-Main examination was conducted in two phases: January and April.
