Mumbai Literature Festival Welcomes Renowned Speakers

The 16th edition of the Mumbai Literature Festival, organized by the Godrej Industries Group, will feature over 100 speakers, including Congress MP Shashi Tharoor and former Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud. This vibrant event is set to commence on November 7 at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA).


Participants from more than ten countries will join this three-day festival, which will cover a wide range of topics such as fiction, poetry, health, history, business, science, philosophy, and the city of Mumbai.


Notable speakers this year include Anindita Ghosh, Ashok Vajpeyi, Jeet Thayil, Jerry Pinto, Lillete Dubey, Sam Delarimpel, Shehan Karunatilaka, Shobha De, Soha Ali Khan, Swati Pandey, Venky Ramakrishnan, and Yang Shuang-ji.


Festival co-director Amy Fernandes expressed pride in the event's evolution since its inception in 2009, stating, 'Every year, this festival has emerged as a continuously evolving and exciting event that the city has embraced. We, the Literature Live! team, take pride in continuing the legacy established by our founder Anil Dharker for the people of Mumbai.'
