On Sunday, the 'Sanatan Sanskriti Parliament' hosted a remarkable event called 'Lokakho Kante Gita Path' at the Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata. More than 500,000 individuals gathered to recite the sacred Bhagavad Gita together, creating an atmosphere filled with devotion and enthusiasm.
Dhirendra Krishna Shastri Emphasizes Unity for World Peace
Acharya Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, from Bageshwar Dham Sarkar, praised the gathering. He remarked, 'Today, in the holy land of Kolkata, 500,000 people recited the Gita together. The wave of enthusiasm and faith felt like a Maha Kumbh Mela had taken place in Kolkata.'
He further stated that the unity of Sanatan Dharma is the greatest means for achieving world peace. Shastri emphasized, 'In India, we desire 'Sanatan', not 'Tanatani'. We want 'Bhagwa-e-Hind', not 'Gazwa-e-Hind'.'
Response to Babri Masjid Foundation Stone
Dhirendra Shastri also commented on the foundation stone laid by suspended TMC MLA Humayun Kabir for the Babri Masjid in Murshidabad's Beldanga. He said, 'If someone has such faith, they can accept it according to their beliefs. There is no mistake or crime in that.'
However, he warned, 'But no one can comment on our Lord Ram. If anyone makes remarks about our temple being built, their arrogance will be revealed.'
