Kolkata-Bound Bus Avoids Disaster in Odisha: What Happened?


Balasore: A bus traveling to Kolkata narrowly avoided a major accident when it collided head-on with a truck in Balasore, Odisha, on Wednesday, according to local police reports.


The crash occurred close to Soro College Chhak along National Highway-16.


According to a police spokesperson, the passengers were fortunate to escape with only minor injuries.


In contrast, the truck driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to a medical facility in Cuttack.


The injured driver has been identified as Ramesh Chandra Pandey, a 53-year-old from Mangori village in Bihar.


The bus driver, however, reportedly fled the scene following the collision.
