Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Opens Admissions for Balvatika and Class 1
KVS Begins Admission Registration
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has officially launched the registration process for admissions into Balvatika 1, 3, and Class 1 starting today, March 7, 2025. A recent notification from KVS indicated that the application process commenced at 10 AM. Parents and guardians interested in enrolling their children in Kendriya Vidyalayas can do so by visiting the KVS official website at kvsangathan.nic.in. The application period will remain open until 10 PM on March 21.
As per KVS guidelines, the provisional list of selected and waitlisted students for Class 1 will be published on March 25, while the lists for Bal Vatika-1 and 3 will be available on March 26. Following this, the second provisional list is set to be released on April 2, with the third list following on April 7, 2025.
Admission Age Requirements
Age Limit for Enrollment
The official notification specifies that children must be at least 6 years old to qualify for admission into Class 1. For Bal Vatika-1, 2, and 3, the age requirements are 3 to 4 years, 4 to 5 years, and 5 to 6 years, respectively. The age eligibility for all classes will be determined as of March 31, 2025, with seat reservations following the KVS Admission Guidelines for the 2025-26 academic year.
Upcoming Registration for Higher Classes
Class 2 Registration Begins April 2
The registration for new admissions in classes 2 and above (excluding class 11) for Balvatika-2 and 3 will commence at 10 AM on April 2 and will close at 4 PM on April 11, 2025. If there are any vacant seats, they will be filled through offline applications, which must be submitted to the Principal's office at the respective Kendriya Vidyalaya. Admissions for Balvatika 2 and classes beyond class 2 will take place from April 18 to April 21, with the final date for admissions for all classes, except class 11, set for June 30, 2025.

Publication of Admission Lists
The official notice states that the lists of registered children, eligible candidates, category-wise provisionally selected children, waiting lists, and subsequent lists will be published on the respective Kendriya Vidyalayas' websites. Additionally, these lists will be shared on social media platforms such as Facebook and X (formerly Twitter), and will also be displayed on the schools' notice boards.
