Special Intensive Revision of Voter Lists Launched

In Uttar Pradesh, a special intensive revision of voter lists commenced on Tuesday. Officials have reported that under this initiative, booth-level officers (BLOs) are visiting homes to distribute enumeration forms.

Naveen Ridwa, the Chief Electoral Officer, stated that the primary goal of this special revision is to enhance the accuracy, update, and inclusivity of the voter list, ensuring that no eligible citizen is deprived of their voting rights.

BLOs are providing two copies of the enumeration form at each voter's residence and are also assisting them in filling out the forms. Upon submission of the signed enumeration form to the BLO, voters will receive a receipt as confirmation.

This campaign has been launched simultaneously across all 162,486 polling stations in the state. Electoral registration officers and BLOs in each assembly constituency are actively engaged in this effort.

Officials have urged voters to promptly return the signed copies of the enumeration forms, along with their latest photographs, to the BLOs and to ensure they receive a receipt. They have also requested voters to fill in their details accurately.
