Outstanding Performance by Indian Athletes


New Delhi, Nov 3: The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has expressed its warm congratulations to the Indian team for their remarkable achievements at the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain, where young athletes brought home an impressive total of 48 medals across different sports.


India showcased its best performance ever at the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Manama, Bahrain, clinching 13 gold, 18 silver, and 17 bronze medals, surpassing the previous records set in 2009 and 2013.


In recognition of these outstanding accomplishments, the IOA plans to honor all medalists, coaches, and athletes who finished fourth in a special ceremony scheduled to take place soon.


The IOA has also announced financial rewards for the athletes and their coaches. Gold medal winners will receive Rs 5,00,000 each, while silver and bronze medalists will be awarded Rs 3,00,000 and Rs 2,00,000, respectively. Those who finished in fourth place will get Rs 50,000 each, and coaches of medal-winning athletes will be recognized with Rs 1,00,000 each. Additionally, both the boys’ and girls’ kabaddi teams will be awarded Rs 10,00,000 each for their exceptional performances.


This significant achievement highlights the increasing strength and depth of India's youth sports ecosystem and serves as a testament to the athletes' dedication, discipline, and commitment to excellence. The IOA acknowledges that such successes are the result of continuous effort, rigorous training, and the invaluable support from coaches and staff.
