As per the government's directive, both individuals have been transferred to District Jail Dharamshala, where they will be held for a period of three months. This initiative specifically targets those who have been repeatedly involved in criminal activities and are seen as a persistent danger to the community.

Rationale Behind the Action:

The Nurpur Police invoked the PIT NDPS Act due to the offenders' ongoing criminal behavior, their propensity to revert to drug trafficking, and the detrimental effects on the youth. In addition to standard legal actions, this preventive measure was considered crucial for ensuring public safety.

The Superintendent of Police in Nurpur emphasized the department's unwavering stance against drug traffickers. Ongoing surveillance is being conducted on other individuals and key players involved in the illicit drug trade. Such preventive measures will persist to protect the community and secure a brighter future for the younger generation.
