Witnessing their struggles, Rahul began working hard from a young age, taking on various jobs including a waiter at a roadside eatery. He sold firecrackers during Diwali, colors during Holi, kites during Makar Sankranti, and rakhi during Raksha Bandhan. He also delivered newspapers and later drove an auto-rickshaw. However, his fortunes changed, and he never looked back. Recently, he purchased a luxury car worth ₹3 crore for his son and spent ₹31 lakh on a VIP number plate.
A Promise Fulfilled
Rahul Taneja has been trending on social media for the past two days due to his purchase of a VIP number for his son's Audi RSQ8 from the Jaipur RTO for ₹31 lakh. Seven years ago, he promised his son, Rehan Taneja, that he would buy him his dream car when he turned 18 and their financial situation improved. With Rehan's 18th birthday approaching on November 16, Rahul made sure to keep his promise by gifting him the car and securing the VIP number through an auction.
A Diverse Career Path
Born in a small village called Katra near Mandla district in Madhya Pradesh, Rahul's family later moved to Jaipur. At the age of 11, he started his first job as a waiter at a roadside dhaba in Jaipur. He also set up small stalls during festivals like Holi and Diwali, and worked in various roles from courier services to hawking. By the age of 19, he established 'Car Palace' in Adarsh Nagar, Jaipur, and pursued his passion for fashion, making a name for himself in Rajasthan's modeling industry. He won titles such as Mr. Jaipur, Mr. Rajasthan, and Male of the Year in 1999.
Investing in Dreams
In 2000, Rahul launched an event management company called 'Live Creations', marking his entry into the event industry. He never looked back after that. In 2005, he founded an artist management company, 'Indian Artist.com', in Mumbai. Recognizing the emerging trend of luxury weddings in 2010, he established Rahul Taneja Premium Weddings. He fulfilled his dreams by purchasing the most expensive VIP number in Rajasthan, RJ 45 CG 0001, for his Jaguar XJL in 2018. Now, he has acquired another expensive VIP number, RJ 60 CM 0001, for his son's car.
Living in the Moment
Previously, in 2011, Rahul bought a VIP number RJ 14 CP 0001 for his first luxury car, a BMW 7 Series, at an auction for ₹10 lakh. According to Rahul, both he and his son share a passion for VIP car numbers, believing that such interests have no price. He emphasizes living in the present, stating, 'I focus on what brings me joy today. I don't think about tomorrow. Who knows what tomorrow holds...'
