In Jammu and Kashmir, the leaders of the ruling National Conference, Farooq Abdullah, and the opposition People's Democratic Party, Mehbooba Mufti, extended their heartfelt congratulations to Johran Mamdani for his remarkable victory in the New York City mayoral election on Wednesday.


A statement released by the National Conference highlighted Abdullah's view of Mamdani's campaign as a beacon of hope amid rising divisions, emphasizing his unwavering commitment to fostering unity in a diverse environment.
