Congress Questions Modi's Denial of Talks with Trump
Congress Raises Questions on Modi's Denial
The Congress party has raised concerns regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's denial of having discussions with U.S. President Donald Trump, referencing a statement made by White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt.
Party General Secretary Jairam Ramesh shared a video of Levitt, who stated that Trump holds Prime Minister Modi in high regard and that the two frequently communicate.
Ramesh posted on 'X', stating, 'On May 10 at 5:37 PM, the announcement from U.S. Secretary of State (Marco Rubio) informed the people of India that 'Operation Sindoor' was abruptly halted. Now, from White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt, the people of India learn that President Trump and Prime Minister Modi have been in regular contact regarding trade or deals.' He emphasized that both leaders should indeed engage in dialogue with each other.
