The administration will issue rapid rebuttals to counter any rumors promptly.

Strict surveillance on coaching centers: All coaching institutions in the state will be mandatorily inspected, and those previously involved in suspicious activities will be kept under strict surveillance based on inputs from the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Local Intelligence Unit (LIU).

Deployment of magistrates and police team leaders at each center: The district administration will ensure the deployment of one duty magistrate and one police team leader at every examination center. Depending on the number of candidates, 3 to 14 home guards/police personnel will be assigned frisking duties at each center. Only female security personnel will be assigned for frisking female candidates in a closed circle.

Prohibition on transfer of examination duty personnel and mandatory mock drill: No transfers of any officials or staff related to the examination will be effective before June 22, 2026. Additionally, all personnel assigned must report for a mandatory mock drill scheduled for June 20, 2026.

Special Arrangements for Candidates and Parents

Free Transportation Services

As per the state government's special directive, all candidates participating in the NEET (UG) 2026 examination will be provided free tickets on buses operated by the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC).

Security at railway stations: The Railway Police (GRP) has been instructed to enhance patrols on trains and ensure robust security arrangements for the safe movement and temporary stay of candidates at railway platforms. Provision of Sattu, ORS, and Medical Mobile Units: District Magistrates (DMs) have been directed to ensure the availability of clean drinking water and Sattu at all centers in coordination with local NGOs. Additionally, packets of ORS (Oral Rehydration Solution) and medical mobile units will be on standby at each center.

International Yoga Day: Since June 21 also marks 'International Yoga Day', the Chief Secretary clarified that two separate dedicated administrative and police teams will work to ensure the successful conduct of both events. There should be no disruption to the routes or traffic for the examination centers due to the Yoga Day events.
