Voting Schedule for Bihar Assembly Elections
The Bihar Assembly elections are set to take place in two phases on November 6 and November 11. Among the significant constituencies is Mokama, where voting will occur on November 6. This seat is considered a stronghold of the influential leader Anant Singh, who has been winning here since 2005.
Candidates from JDU
Mokama has long been dominated by Anant Singh. He secured victories in the 2005 and 2010 Assembly elections as a JDU candidate. In 2015, he contested as an independent and won, later joining RJD and winning again in 2020. However, after being convicted in a case, he was disqualified from the Bihar Assembly. Now, he has returned to JDU, which has nominated him again for the Mokama seat.

The RJD has fielded Veena Devi for the Mokama constituency. Notably, she is a ninth-grade graduate and currently serves as a Member of Parliament from Vaishali. Additionally, she has previously been a member of the Bihar Assembly from the Gaya district.
