Upcoming Winter Session Details


Guwahati, Nov 5: The Assam Legislative Assembly has revealed the schedule for the upcoming Winter Session, which is slated to commence on November 25.


According to the calendar issued by the Assembly, there will be five working days during this session.


The session will kick off on November 25 with Obituary References, followed by the Question Hour.


Subsequently, the Speaker will present the Report of the Business Advisory Committee, outlining the agenda for the Winter Session.


The Speaker will also announce the members who will form the panel of Chairpersons as per Rule 9(1) of the Assembly's Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business.


The first day will also include the laying of ordinances and reports, the presentation of various Assembly Committee reports, motions for the election of members to different government committees and boards, the presentation of the Supplementary Demands for Grants and Supplementary Appropriation for 2025-26, and the introduction of government bills.


On November 26, the proceedings will commence with the Question Hour, followed by government business.


The session will continue on November 28, starting with the Question Hour, followed by Private Members' Business and urgent government matters. On November 29, the day will again begin with the Question Hour, after which time will be allocated for the consideration and passing of government bills, along with other government business.
