On Monday, Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Chief Minister of Assam, extended his congratulations to the Indian women's cricket team for clinching their inaugural ICC World Cup title. He described this achievement as a triumph of talent and teamwork.

Gaurav Gogoi, the Deputy Leader of Congress in the Lok Sabha, also offered his best wishes to the champion team.
