A Night to Remember at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards


The 10th Crunchyroll Anime Awards took place in Tokyo, Japan, on May 23, 2026, showcasing a dazzling array of talent. For the fourth year in a row, the event was hosted by voice actress Sally Amaki and Jon Kabira. Representing India was Bollywood star and anime fan Rashmika Mandanna, who joined a star-studded lineup of presenters including Grammy winner The Weeknd, Black Panther actor Winston Duke, Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA, K-pop sensations TEN and BamBam, and many others.



The ceremony celebrated popular titles such as My Hero Academia Final Season, One Piece, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, which took home the top honors. Indian voice actor Abhishek Sharma was awarded Best Voice Artist Performance (Hindi) for his portrayal of Jinshi in The Apothecary Diaries Season 2. Crunchyroll reported an impressive 73 million votes cast globally, setting a new record for the awards, with Brazil, Germany, India, Mexico, and the US leading in participation.


The event featured captivating performances from the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Dean Fujioka, Yoko Takahashi, Pornograffitti, and Asian Kung-Fu Generation. Director Tatsuya Nagamine received the Global Impact Award for his significant contributions to Dragon Ball Super and One Piece, although he was unable to attend, and animator Masayuki Sato accepted the award on his behalf.
