Release Postponed for Ghaati

Chennai: The much-anticipated action thriller Ghaati, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and starring Anushka Shetty alongside Vikram Prabhu, has had its release date pushed back, as confirmed by the production team on Saturday.

Initially set to premiere on July 11, the film's release has been delayed once again.

UV Creations, one of the film's production companies, shared a heartfelt message on their social media platforms titled, "A Note from the Heart of Ghaati."

In their statement, they expressed, "Cinema flows like a river; it sometimes rushes ahead and at other times pauses to deepen its essence. Ghaati is more than just a film; it embodies the echoes of mountains and the whispers of the wild, a narrative shaped by earth and stone.

"To honor every moment and every frame, we have decided to extend its journey a bit longer. We believe this additional wait will enhance the experience, making it more profound and memorable.

"We appreciate your love and patience as we navigate these winding paths together. Until the mountains call us again, we remain yours, Team Ghaati."

This marks the second postponement for Ghaati. Originally slated for an April 18 release, the film's debut was first delayed before being rescheduled to July 11, only to face another setback.

Produced by Rajeev Reddy and Sai Babu Jagarlamudi, and presented by UV Creations, Ghaati marks the second collaboration between Anushka Shetty and director Krish, following their successful film Vedam.

Notably, this will be Anushka's fourth project with UV Creations.

Vikram Prabhu, who plays the lead role of Desi Raju, revealed in an exclusive interview that he shed eight kilos for his character.

The film's tagline, "Victim, Criminal, Legend," hints at its intriguing narrative, which delves into the complexities of morality, survival, and the blurred lines between good and evil.

Ghaati promises to take viewers on a gripping journey into the darker aspects of human nature, where characters confront their pasts and face challenging choices in their quest for redemption.

Cinematographer Manojh Reddy Katasani will create the film's visual landscape, while Nagavelli Vidya Sagar's music aims to enhance its intense atmosphere.

Art direction is handled by National Award winner Thota Tharrani, with editing by Chanakya Reddy Toorupu and Venkat N Swamy. The film also features sharp dialogues by Sai Madhav Burra, ensuring a captivating storytelling experience.
