In a conversation with a local media outlet, Samyuktha revealed how she landed her role in the film. She mentioned that the filmmakers noticed her performing push-ups while wearing a saree, which led to her being approached for the part. Directed by Anand Shankar, known for his work on Iru Mugan and NOTA, the film will showcase a character that contrasts with her real-life persona.
Samyuktha also praised Vikram, describing him as a humble individual. She recounted her first day on set, where Vikram showed up even though he wasn't scheduled to film that day. She appreciated his down-to-earth nature and how welcoming the Tamil film industry has been towards her.

Vikram's last appearance was in Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, released in March 2025. The filming for Chiyaan 63 commenced recently, marking Vikram's return to the set after a year-long hiatus. Riya Shibu has been cast in a significant role, making her debut in Tamil cinema. She previously worked on Vikram's successful Veera Dheera Sooran – Part 2.
When the project was announced last month, a promotional video depicted Vikram as a chef entangled with a gang, hinting at a dual role involving a gangster. Anand Shankar has penned the screenplay, with dialogues crafted by Shan Karuppusamy. The film's music will be composed by Santhosh Narayanan, who collaborated with Vikram on Mahaan in 2022. The technical team includes cinematographer RD Rajasekar ISC, editor Raymond Derrick Crasta, production designer Rajeevan, and art director Surya Rajeevan. The film is produced by TG Thyagarajan under Sathya Jyothi Films, alongside Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan, with G. Saravanan and Sai Siddharth serving as co-producers.
