Prabhu Family Meets Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay: A Star-Studded Reunion
Prabhu Family's Special Meeting with CM Vijay
Actor Prabhu, along with his son Vikram Prabhu and son-in-law Adhik Ravichander, recently had a significant meeting with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay. This gathering was particularly special as it marked a reunion between Prabhu and Vijay, who have collaborated on films like Puli and Theri. During this encounter, Vikram and Adhik expressed their respect for the Chief Minister, extending their best wishes for his new role. Their visit is part of a growing list of filmmakers and actors who have met Vijay since he took office.
Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu, and Adhik Ravichander's Visit
Images of Prabhu congratulating Vijay have been circulating widely on social media. Photos featuring Adhik Ravichandran, who is married to Prabhu's daughter Aishwarya, alongside actor Vikram Prabhu, have also gained attention online. This meeting was Prabhu's first with Vijay since the latter's inauguration as Chief Minister.
While casting his vote in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections earlier this April, Prabhu reflected on the deep-rooted connection between cinema and politics in Tamil Nadu. He remarked, "In Tamil Nadu, figures like Mr. MGR (actor and former Chief Minister MG Ramachandran), Mr. Kalaignar (former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi), and my father have all been involved in politics. It's an integral part of our culture."
Film Industry Figures Meet CM Vijay
The Prabhu family's visit follows a series of interactions between Vijay and notable personalities from the Tamil film industry. Recently, veteran actors Parthiban and MS Bhaskar also met with the Chief Minister to convey their congratulations. MS Bhaskar presented Vijay with a bouquet, while Parthiban gifted him a framed photo portraying Vijay as an emperor.
Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who collaborated with Vijay on the film Leo, also paid a visit. Other directors, including A.R. Murugadoss and Venkat Prabhu, have met with the Chief Minister, with Venkat presenting a unique number plate inscribed with "TN-07-CM-2026" as a symbolic gesture. In recent weeks, actors Arjun, Shanthnu, RJ Balaji, and Vijay Antony have also met with Vijay. Additionally, industry organizations such as the Tamil Film Producers Council and the Tamil Film Active Producers Association have made their visits.
On the professional front, Vikram Prabhu was last seen in the film Sirai and is currently involved in an untitled project directed by debutant Siddharth, produced by Raahul, known for distributing The Greatest of All Time and Good Bad Ugly. Meanwhile, Adhik Ravichandran is engaged in pre-production for AK64, which has yet to commence filming.
