Cannes Film Festival 2026 Concludes with Glamour and Awards

The 2026 Cannes Film Festival has officially wrapped up after an exhilarating two-week celebration of global cinema on the stunning French Riviera. This prestigious event, known for its iconic red carpet, concluded on Saturday with a dazzling awards ceremony held at the Palais des Festivals. The jury, led by renowned South Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook, included notable figures from the film industry such as Diego Crspedes, Laura Wandel, Chlor Zhao, Demi Moore, Ruth Negga, Stellan Skarsgård, and Paul Laverty.


Awards Ceremony Highlights


French actress Eyade Haidara hosted the festival's closing ceremony. Legendary actress Barbra Streisand was honored with the Honorary Palme d’Or, expressing her gratitude through a video message as she could not attend in person. Several films were celebrated during the event, with the Grand Prix, the second-highest award after the Palme d’Or, awarded to Andrey Zvyagintsev's film, Minotaur.
