The 10th Crunchyroll Anime Awards took place in Tokyo, Japan, on May 23, 2026, featuring a dazzling array of stars. For the fourth consecutive year, the event was hosted by voice actress Sally Amaki and Jon Kabira. Representing India was Bollywood sensation and anime enthusiast Rashmika Mandanna, who shared the stage with a host of prominent figures, including Grammy winner The Weeknd, actor Winston Duke from Black Panther, Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA, K-pop artists TEN and BamBam, and several others including Asuka Saito, Kasumi Arimura, Nanase Nishino, cosplayer Enako, comedy duo Mitorizu, gaming host Nyvi Estephan, and rapper Young Miko.

The evening celebrated major global hits such as My Hero Academia Final Season, One Piece, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, which took home the most prestigious awards. Indian voice actor Abhishek Sharma was honored with the Best Voice Artist Performance (Hindi) award for his role as Jinshi in The Apothecary Diaries Season 2. Rashmika had the honor of presenting the Best Animation award alongside Duke.

According to Crunchyroll, a staggering 73 million votes were cast globally for the Anime Awards, marking a new record. The leading countries in voting included Brazil, Germany, India, Mexico, and the United States, highlighting the worldwide appeal of anime. The ceremony featured performances by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, which opened the event, along with performances from Dean Fujioka, Yoko Takahashi, Pornograffitti, and Asian Kung-Fu Generation. Director Tatsuya Nagamine received the Global Impact Award for his contributions to Dragon Ball Super and One Piece, with animator Masayuki Sato accepting the award on his behalf.
