Following an impressive opening weekend on May 23, Drishyam 3, featuring Mohanlal, has crossed the ₹100 crore milestone globally within just 58 hours. Jeethu Joseph, the writer and director behind this beloved franchise, expressed his gratitude to fans on social media for their unwavering support over the past 13 years. The original Drishyam film debuted in 2013 and has since inspired numerous remakes in various languages.

In a heartfelt message on social media, Jeethu Joseph thanked audiences for accompanying the Drishyam team throughout this journey. He remarked, "Your love, support, and belief in this story continue to humble us every day." As Drishyam 3 continues to perform well in theaters, he shared a new poster celebrating the film's achievement of grossing ₹100 crore in just 58 hours.



According to reports, Drishyam 3 has become the second-fastest Malayalam film to reach ₹100 crores in global earnings, following Mohanlal's L2: Empuraan, which accomplished this in only two days. Initial estimates indicate that the film has grossed approximately ₹112 crore worldwide within three days, with nearly ₹65 crore coming from international markets. The second installment of Drishyam did not have a theatrical release, as it was produced and premiered during the pandemic on February 19, 2021.

Alongside Mohanlal, the film features Meena, Ansiba Hassan, and Esther Anil reprising their roles as members of the George family. Produced by Aashirvad Cinemas, the third installment centers on Georgekutty and his family as they prepare for Anju's wedding (played by Ansiba Hassan). The former cable TV operator finds himself under scrutiny following the release of a film based on his memoirs.



The cast also includes Siddique, Murali Gopy, Biju Menon, Asha Sharath, Veena Nandakumar, and Santhi Mayadevi. The film's cinematography is handled by Satheesh Kurup, with editing by VS Vinayak, and the music score is composed by Anil Johnson. Compared to its predecessors, Drishyam 3 has received mixed reviews. Additionally, the Hindi version of the franchise, featuring Ajay Devgn and Shriya Saran, is set to release later this year on October 2, 2026, directed by Abhishek Pathak.
