Los Angeles: Dakota Johnson, known for her role in Materialists, has reportedly begun to date again after her split from Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay.

The couple, who were together for nearly eight years, ended their relationship earlier this year. They first sparked romance rumors back in 2017.

According to a source cited by a popular entertainment magazine, Johnson, 36, is finding happiness in her new dating life. The source stated, "She has been slowly dating again and she’s happy."

The source further explained, "Her relationship with Chris had its ups and downs, and while she always hoped for a reconciliation, she seems much lighter and at peace now that it’s over."

Dakota's recent project is the comedy film Splitsville, directed by Michael Angelo Covino, which premiered in September and also stars Adria Arjona.

Looking ahead, she will appear alongside Anne Hathaway in the upcoming film Verity, set to hit theaters on October 2, 2026.

Additionally, Johnson is preparing to make her directorial debut with A Tree Is Blue, featuring Jessica Alba and Charli XCX.
