Aamir Khan Reflects on Career Choices at 60th Birthday Celebration
Aamir Khan, the renowned Bollywood actor, addressed various subjects during the launch of 'Aamir Khan: Magician of Cinema' in honor of his 60th birthday. The event, organized by 'Pvr-Inox', was a special film festival celebrating Aamir's significant impact on Indian cinema.

During the event, Aamir shared insights about his career, revealing that he turned down numerous film roles without any regrets. Notably, he declined offers for iconic films such as Shahrukh Khan's Darr, Sanjay Dutt's Munnabhai series, and Salman Khan's hit Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Regarding his decision to pass on Darr, Aamir explained, 'I was involved in a project called Darr, but ultimately, I did not participate. There were various reasons for this decision, none of which were creatively driven.'

He further stated, 'I believe everything happens for a reason. I think Shahrukh was a better fit for the character envisioned by Yash ji. Had I taken on that role, it would have been a different interpretation. I have no regrets; it was a successful film.' Aamir also mentioned that he was offered the role in Bajrangi Bhaijaan in 2015 but chose to recommend Salman Khan for the part.

Aamir's long-standing collaboration with director Rajkumar Hirani has produced hits like 3 Idiots and PK. However, their partnership could have begun earlier had Aamir not declined the role in Munnabhai MBBS, which later became a blockbuster for Sanjay Dutt.
