St. Louis Shock Claims Victory in Major League Pickleball Championship
St. Louis Shock Dominates MLP Championship
The St. Louis Shock has emerged victorious in the Major League Pickleball (MLP) Championship, held on June 7, marking a significant achievement after a season filled with near misses. Entering the 2026 season as a top contender, the team had previously secured second and third places in the initial events in Dallas and Columbus, respectively.
With high hopes and strong belief in their capabilities, the Shock finally showcased their potential at home, overcoming previous disappointments. They demonstrated remarkable consistency throughout the tournament, losing only two matches in Pool B, both of which were inconsequential.
On Championship Sunday, the Shock faced the LA Mad Drops, a team that had previously bested them. However, this time, St. Louis dominated the match, winning decisively with scores of 11-1, 11-3, and 11-5, solidifying their status as title favorites.
Featuring standout players like Anna Bright, Hayden Patriquin, Gabe Tardio, and Kate Fahey, the St. Louis Shock has built a strong team dynamic that has proven essential to their success.
