Rohit Sharma Dominates ODI Rankings as New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell Shines

Rohit Sharma Retains Top Spot in ODI Rankings


New Delhi: Rohit Sharma continues to lead the men's ODI rankings, while New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell has reached a personal best, securing the third position after contributing significantly to his team's 3-0 series win against England at home.


Mitchell's impressive performances, including an unbeaten 56 in the second ODI in Hamilton and a score of 44 in the final match in Wellington, propelled him up two spots in the rankings. He concluded the series with a total of 178 runs, earning him the Player of the Series title.


Another standout from New Zealand, Rachin Ravindra, has also made strides in the rankings, achieving a career-high 14th position after scoring 44 and 56 in the last two ODIs, climbing four spots.


South Africa's Quinton de Kock has made a comeback to the 19th position following a score of 63 in the first ODI against Pakistan in Faisalabad. Pakistan's Fakhar Zaman has moved up to 26th, while Salman Agha has reached a career-best 30th position after climbing nine places, thanks to his Player of the Match performance of 62 runs off 71 balls.


Jofra Archer's three-wicket haul in Hamilton has elevated him to a joint career-best third position. Meanwhile, Pakistan's Naseem Shah has risen 10 places to tie for 33rd, and New Zealand's Jacob Duffy has climbed 25 spots to 39th, marking their best rankings yet. Saurabh Netravalkar from the US has also gained three places, now sitting at 17th.


In the T20I Player Rankings, West Indies' Shai Hope has reached his highest career ranking, now at 12th among batters, following scores of 46 not out in the first T20I against Bangladesh and 55 in the recent match.


Afghanistan's Rahmanullah Gurbaz has climbed three spots to 15th, while Ibrahim Zadran has moved up six places to 20th after their performances in Zimbabwe. Additionally, Pakistan's Babar Azam has advanced 10 places to 35th, and Saim Ayub has also moved up 10 spots to 39th.


The bowling rankings have seen notable movements, with Pakistan's Shaheen Shah Afridi rising three spots to 13th, Afghanistan's Mujeeb Ur Rahman climbing 13 places to 14th, West Indies' Jason Holder improving nine positions to 23rd, and Zimbabwe's Sikandar Raza moving up 32 spots to 33rd.


Pakistan's left-arm quick Salman Mirza has made a remarkable leap of 98 places to 45th after his three-wicket performance in the second T20I against South Africa in Lahore.
