Actor's Blunder at Music Launch

During the music launch event for 'Peddi' in Bhopal, actor Ram Charan found himself in a humorous situation when he mistakenly referred to cricketer Jasprit Bumrah as a football player. While discussing Indian cricket legends, he praised Sachin Tendulkar's career as 'legendary', described MS Dhoni as 'calm and cool', and called Rohit Sharma 'everybody's man'. He even characterized Virat Kohli as 'fire'. However, when it came to Bumrah, he confused him with a footballer, leading to a viral moment on social media.

Ram Charan, who expressed his admiration for football and claimed to be a big fan of Bumrah, later took to social media to apologize for the mix-up. He acknowledged the error, stating, 'Uff… I’m genuinely so forgetful with names sometimes. Apologies to @Jaspritbumrah93 Ji for the mix-up - it was a genuine human error in the middle of all the excitement and the crowd. I truly respect you, and I am a huge fan of your game. You make every Indian feel proud when you consistently put batsmen on the back foot.'

Jasprit Bumrah's IPL Struggles

On another note, Jasprit Bumrah's performance in IPL 2026 has not been up to par. As the spearhead of the Mumbai Indians' bowling lineup, expectations were high, but he only managed to secure four wickets across 13 matches. This disappointing performance, coupled with the struggles of other key players like Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya, contributed to the team's failure to reach the playoffs. The Mumbai Indians, who have won the IPL title five times, are currently positioned ninth in the standings, having lost nine out of their 13 matches this season.
