With disciplined bowling and timely breakthroughs, DC successfully defended a target of 204, concluding their league-stage campaign on a high note under the leadership of Axar Patel.


KKR's Strong Start

KKR began their chase positively, with openers Finn Allen and Ajinkya Rahane putting together 43 runs in just 4.2 overs. Allen was dismissed by Lungi Ngidi after scoring 20 runs off 13 balls, which included three fours and a six.


Despite the loss of Allen, Rahane maintained the momentum, partnering with Manish Pandey to guide KKR through the power play, which ended with a score of 55 runs for one wicket.


Rahane's Explosive Batting

Rahane showcased his batting prowess by hitting Axar Patel for 21 runs in the eighth over, including three sixes. Pandey contributed 25 runs off 16 balls before falling to Ngidi, hitting two fours and two sixes during his innings.


Following Pandey's dismissal, Cameron Green was out for just 2 runs against Kuldeep Yadav, leaving KKR at 98 runs for three wickets at the end of the power play.
