Deepak Hooda's explosive innings of 248 runs off 335 balls, featuring 22 fours and two sixes, propelled his team to a declaration at 617/6, in response to Mumbai's first innings total of 254. Deepak was eventually dismissed by Yashasvi Jaiswal.
As the day concluded, Mumbai was at 89/0, with Jaiswal (56*) and Musheer Khan (32*) remaining unbeaten, trailing by 274 runs.
