Tribute to SL Akshay

The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has conveyed its deep sorrow following the passing of former cricketer SL Akshay.

In a statement released by KSCA President Venkatesh Prasad along with the Managing Committee, it was highlighted that Akshay had represented Karnataka with great honor at the first-class level and continued to contribute to the sport with immense passion even after retiring from playing.

As a coach at the junior level, Akshay was instrumental in developing and guiding young cricketers, significantly influencing the growth of cricket talent in the region, according to the release.

“His dedication to the game, kind demeanor, and generous efforts in mentoring the next generation of cricketers earned him great respect and admiration within the cricket community. Karnataka cricket has lost not just a former player and coach, but a cherished member of its family,” the KSCA remarked.

The association expressed its heartfelt sympathies to Akshay's family, friends, teammates, students, and all those whose lives he positively impacted through his mentorship and kindness.
