Aman Raj's Ambitious Quest

Aman Raj is determined to elevate his game as he strives to become the first competitor on the IGPL Tour to clinch three consecutive titles. He is set to participate in the IGPL Invitational in Jamshedpur, hosted by Arjun Munda, according to an official announcement from IGPL.


Having secured victories in Jaipur, his preferred venue, and Kolkata, the 30-year-old golfer is now eyeing a third win in Jamshedpur. Raj has been in remarkable form, achieving a score of 9-under 61 three times in his last six rounds. "I recognize that my performance has been on an upward trend, but achieving three 61s in four rounds—from Jaipur to Kolkata—was incredibly fulfilling," he remarked. His father made a surprise appearance in Kolkata to witness his victory, which added to his joy. "Seeing my father at the end of the final round was a delightful surprise," said a thrilled Aman Raj, who has also become the first IGPL golfer to surpass Rs. 50 lakhs in earnings within just five tournaments. "While the financial aspect is significant, my performance remains my top priority, and I am pleased with how I have been playing."


Emerging Talents and Experienced Players Shine

Seventeen-year-old Veer Ganapathy, in his inaugural season as a professional, put up a strong challenge against Aman Raj, finishing as the runner-up in Kolkata. During the prize distribution ceremony, he had the opportunity to meet tennis legend Leander Paes, who attended the final round in his hometown. Paes highlighted Ganapathy and Kartik Singh as promising future stars. "Even though I lost on the last hole, I gained valuable insights from this experience," said a proud Veer.


Other notable performances included Aryan Roopa Anand, a former two-time All India Amateur champion, who secured third place, and Samarth Dwivedi, who finished fourth in Kolkata.


Aalaap IL has also been performing well, expressing gratitude to IGPL Tour physio Sushila for her support. "My recovery and performance are largely thanks to Sushila, who has been instrumental for us on the IGPL Tour," he stated. Syed Saqib Ahmed also had a commendable showing, tying for fifth place in Kolkata.


Olympian Udayan Mane Eyes Victory

Olympian Udayan Mane, who made a strong debut by finishing fifth in Jaipur, is optimistic about securing a win soon. "I feel good, and I'm excited to see what happens next week," said Udayan, who previously won the Order of Merit on the domestic Tour.


Jamshedpur: The Sixth Stop on the Rs. 1.5 Crore Tour

The Rs. 1.5 crore event in Jamshedpur marks the sixth stop in a series that has already included Chandigarh, Jaypee Greens (Noida), Pune, Jaipur, and Kolkata. Gaganjeet Bhullar won the first two events, followed by Kapil Kumar in Pune, and Aman Raj's victories in Jaipur and Kolkata.
