The District Youth Congress in Kangra held a significant torch rally in the Jawali Assembly constituency to voice their concerns over alleged irregularities and paper leak incidents related to the NEET examination. During the protest, demonstrators also set fire to an effigy representing Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Leaders from the Youth Congress expressed that ongoing issues within the examination system have eroded the confidence of countless students and their families. They urged the central government to guarantee full transparency in the examination process, enforce strict penalties on those responsible, and protect the rights of students.
Sunil Kumar “Vikku” Bhardwaj, the District Youth Congress President, spoke at the rally, stressing the need for the government to implement substantial reforms in the examination system to ensure that students are afforded fair and transparent opportunities.
The protestors chanted slogans demanding reforms in the examination process, accountability, and the safeguarding of students’ futures. Youth Congress leaders cautioned that if their demands are not met, they would escalate their movement.
Among the prominent figures at the rally were National Secretary Jyotish H.M., State Vice President Chandramani Kuleti, Assembly President Satish Mithu, Ravi Kumar, Nikhil Gautam, Abhishek Narotra, Gurvinder Singh, Surender Kumar, along with many Youth Congress officials and supporters.
