Shocking Discovery in Deoghar

Deoghar: A sense of alarm swept through the Belabagan Kalibari neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon when a young couple was discovered dead in their rented apartment under suspicious circumstances.

The victims have been identified as 30-year-old Ravi Sharma and his 24-year-old wife, Lovely Sharma, who had been married for approximately a year.

According to law enforcement, the door to their room was locked from the inside. After the couple failed to respond for an extended period, concerned neighbors notified the landlord, who subsequently contacted the police.

Upon arrival, officers forced entry and found both individuals deceased inside the room.

As news of the incident spread, a large crowd gathered outside the residence.

A forensic team was summoned to gather evidence and assess the scene.

Initial assessments indicate that the case may involve murder followed by suicide, although definitive conclusions will await the post-mortem results.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Lovely was from Kalirekha in Deoghar, while Ravi originally hailed from Siwan district in Bihar. He had been employed in Guwahati before relocating to Deoghar.

Authorities noted that the couple had been experiencing marital issues since their wedding. A few months prior, Lovely's family had filed a complaint at the Women’s Police Station in Deoghar, leading to counseling sessions that resulted in a reconciliation.

Local residents reported that the couple had a loud argument late Tuesday night, which is believed to have preceded the tragic event.

Family members from both sides rushed to Deoghar upon hearing the news and were devastated.

The bodies have been sent for autopsy, and police have launched a thorough investigation into all potential aspects of the case.

"We are exploring both murder and suicide theories. The cause of death will be clarified once the autopsy report is available," stated the officer in charge of Deoghar City Police Station.
