Tragic Death of Teacher During Voter List Verification in Ghaziabad

In a tragic incident, a biology teacher in Ghaziabad died from a brain hemorrhage while engaged in voter list verification duties. Lal Mohan Singh, aged 58, was reportedly under significant stress due to the demands of the job. The local administration is now investigating the circumstances surrounding his death, which has raised concerns about the pressures faced by educators during election duties. Teacher's Sudden Passing During Election Duty

A biology teacher, who was assigned as a booth level officer (BLO) for a special intensive review of the voter list in Ghaziabad, reportedly passed away due to a brain hemorrhage at his residence in Nehru Nagar, Modinagar. This information was confirmed by officials on Saturday.


The teacher, identified as Lal Mohan Singh, aged 58, was tasked with duties in the Sahibabad assembly constituency. Satish Chand Agarwal, the principal of Modi Science and Commerce Inter College, informed reporters that Singh had been unwell and was under significant stress due to the door-to-door verification work.


He mentioned that the administration had emphasized the necessity of completing this task at all costs, which contributed to Singh's stress levels. Amit Saxena, the Assistant Commissioner of Police in Modinagar, stated that the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) had notified him about Singh's death from a brain hemorrhage on Friday night. The SDM is currently investigating the administrative aspects following the incident.
